How to make Chechebsa
Teff flour or teff flour mix with Rye, Oat, Wheat or All purpose flour (whatever you have )
Ingredients
1/4 cup Clarified butter or Olive oil
1 tbs Berbere (Ethiopian a chile pepper and spice blend )
water
Preparation
Mix Teff flour and salt in a container. Add water mix well by hand. Make a thick paste. Make the dough like pancake batter. Turn on the stove and Place frying pan. When the pan warm enough add the paste. When one side cook turns to another side. Cook both 3-4 minutes side by flipping each side. When it’s ready to take out. Make 2-3 pita. Let it cool down. While the pita cools down Mix Berbere with butter or olive oil in a small container. When the pita cools down to cut it into small pieces and mix well by your hand with berbere paste. you can have breakfast, Snack, any time of the day. Enjoy
