cauliflower and bell pepper wot አበባ ጎመን በቃሪያ
Bell pepper red yellow, orange sliced (any)
1 onion (chopped)
2 fresh tomato
1 tsp Ginger(minced)
1 tsp Garlic(minced)
1 tsp of turmeric
salt and black pepper
dry or fresh thyme
1 tsp Korarima-Ethiopian cardamom, or false cardamom
1 tsp lemon juice
4 tbsp oil
Cut the cauliflower into florets and boil them with a little salt and turmeric water. Once cooked, drain the water and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat add onion, Cook the onion for about 10 minutes. Add garlic and ginger. Saute until the onion turns translucent. Add the bell peppers keep some aside to put on top. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in between. Add cauliflower, chopped fresh tomatoes, and thyme. Mix well. Add salt, pepper, turmeric, korerima, and seasoning spice. cover and cook till finish the liquid. Add jalapeno pepper and bell pepper. Add lemon juice and stir over high heat for few minutes. Then turn off the heat. Serve with sourdough teff bread or injera or teff pita.
