Ingredients
2 or 3 bunch Swiss Chard
1 onion (finely chopped)
3 potatoes (Clean and peel Cut into even chunks )
olive oil (any oil you Prefer)
4 Garlic clove, crushed or chopped)
½ tsp grated fresh root ginger
jalapeno pepper (green hot pepper)
Korarima ( false cardamom powder)
Salt and pepper
Preparation
Wash the Swiss chard well. Trim the leaves from the stems. Chop the leaves coarsely and set them aside. Chop the onion. Chop Jalapeno pepper. In a large skillet add oil and chopped onion. Then add potato. Cover and cook for a few minutes. stirring frequently, until the potatoes start to tender. Add chopped Swiss chard stems and water. cover and simmer about 5 to 10 minutes. Saute until the Swiss chard stem soft When the steam soft add the Swiss chard leaves and stir. Add a small amount of water, garlic and ginger to cover the lid. Simmer about 5 to 10 minutes over medium heat until the liquid evaporated and chard a tender. When the Swiss chard tender add jalapeno pepper, Korarima, salt, and pepper. Serve with injera, Teff bread, Teff Ambasha, Teff Kita
