Alicha Shiro (white or Nich Shiro) Wot (Chickpea or peas Wot) አልጫ ሸሮ

Ingredient

¾ cup Nich Shiro (Chickpea blend with spices and herbs)

2 chopped onion(finely chopped)

2 cloves garlic (minced )

2 tbsp turmeric

1/4 cup olive oil or any cooking oil

water

Preparation

Cook the onion in a medium pot Stir frequently until the onions soft. when the onions have softened add oil and  Shiro, stir well so that no lumps form, Whisk until mixture is very smooth. add water simmer for few minutes then add turmeric and garlic. add more water and Salt. Let cook on low heat for 25-30 minutes until the flavors combine and the oil separates slightly from the Shiro. Serve hot with Injera
