         Alicha shiro  (Chickpea Wot) አልጫ ሸሮ

2 cups ShIro

2 chopped onion (finely chopped)

2 cloves garlic (minced )

1/4 cup olive oil or any cooking oil

1-2 tsp turmeric powder

water

salt

In a medium pot add oil and shiro , stir well so that no lumps form. Whisk until mixture is very smooth. add water simmer for  few minute then add finely chopped onion, turmeric and add more water and Salt.after 15 minute add garlic .Let cook on low heat 25-30 minute until the flavors combine and the oil separates slightly from the shiro. Serve it cold or warm with Injera, Teff pita bread or Teff bread or any bread
